We all have a Mom; it could be by birth, by adoption, via a “Mister” Mom, through a close friend or family member, etc. And what makes a mom a Mom is the love and care she provides to you, the lessons and principles she teaches you, and the person she is every day. Thank God, then, that–as the source of Mothers–he has instituted from the beginning every day as Mother’s (and Father’s!) day, Exodus 20:12a: “Honor your father and mother…” So take time to recognize and honor the loving and caring people in your life, as you recognize and honor the loving and caring presence of your heavenly Father.
